What Are Cookies?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers placed on your device through your web browser. Cookies may be necessary for the basic functionality of the Application, for analytics purposes, or to enable non-essential features.

Vernier uses cookies on the Application and may also place small transparent images called “web beacons” or “pixels” that provide us with tracking statistics. Vernier uses a variety of cookies on the Application to accomplish different functions:
- Essential cookies enable basic Application functionality. For example, these cookies may allow the visitor to login, update privacy preferences, or fill out an online form. These cookies are necessary for the Application to function and cannot be disabled.
- Functionality cookies enable non-essential features like widgets or content.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how the Application performs, how visitors interact with the Application, and whether there may be technical issues. For example, we use a tool called PostHog to analyze Application use and performance based on certain cookie data. These cookies typically do not collect data that identifies the visitor. When served with a cookie banner or pop-up on the Application, you can click to “Accept Cookies” or “Decline Cookies.” If you click to “Decline Cookies,” the Application will not drop cookies on your device unless they will not collect tracking data or Personal Information and are essential for the Application to function. If you click to “Decline Cookies,” Vernier will use only cookieless technologies to gather technical, non-personally identifiable data to understand your use of the Application and identify areas of improvement.
